Connecting and Working with Veterans
Having a Certified Veteran’s Business Enterprise (VBE) is important for JB Poindexter & Co (JBPCO) and especially its CEO and Chairman John Poindexter — a decorated veteran honored with numerous awards for his service in the Republic of South Vietnam. John is very much involved with the day-to-day operations and has made recruiting veterans at JBPCO a priority, recognizing the skills and experiences they bring, even partnering with RecruitMilitary to reach more veterans.
It was essential for JBPCO to be certified as a VBE from the National Veteran-Owned Business Association (NaVOBA) to further foster connections with veterans. JBPCO was officially certified in September 2020, giving the company formal recognition, paving the way to directly develop relationships and conduct business with other companies across the U.S. looking to work with a business that wasn’t only veteran-owned, but one that emphasized employing veterans as well.
Following a lengthy review to prove businesses are functional and veteran-owned, NaVOBA connects companies across the United States looking to work with veteran businesses with VBEs and Certified Service-Disabled Veteran’s Business Enterprises (SDVBE).
A VBE certification is nationally recognized as the gold standard for veteran-owned businesses. Companies know they are in good hands when conducting business with a VBE.
