The Chairman’s Award for Excellence recognizes outstanding performance within JB Poindexter & Co (JBPCO) and its Business Units in the following categories: Outstanding Achievement by a Senior Leader, Outstanding Achievement by an Operating Team Member and Outstanding Achievement by a Staff Team Member. The nominees have achieved significant cost reduction or avoidance, implementation of an innovative process or improvement of an existing process or have an accomplishment that has yielded a significant positive impact on a business unit. Nominees may also include team members who – under challenging circumstances – have displayed exceptional performance over an extended period.

JBPCO CEO John B. Poindexter and Barry Kosek
Corporate Director of Human Resources Barry Kosek (LEER Group) leads by example with regard to trust, respect, integrity, honesty, loyalty, approachability and consistency. Due to Barry’s leadership style and approach, he is well respected throughout the organization and is considered a “go to” team member. The past couple of years have been a challenge at LEER, however Barry persevered with his positive attitude and proactive approach to minimizing the impacts of COVID and work force instability.
JBPCO CEO John B. Poindexter, Josh Stouder and EFP President John Hoeper
Director of Project Engineering Josh Stouder (EFP) plays a pivotal role in most major projects at EFP and has been successfully leading several significant projects for EFP, including the Reno facility start-up, the Elkhart boiler project, the Evansville expansion and the Elkhart office remodel. He can figure out how to do just about anything and has an enthusiasm for his work, caring deeply about optimal outcomes and the success of the company.
JBPCO CEO John B. Poindexter, Luke Allen and Morgan Olson President Mike Ownbey
Maintenance Manager Luke Allen (Morgan Olson) has contributed greatly to the success of the Ringgold facility through many projects. His most recognized contribution was the creation of Morgan Olson’s current CMMS – a system solely owned and utilized by Morgan Olson. This system generates work orders, tracks work orders entered, designates work orders as reactive, planned or preventative, tracks machine downtime and the PM schedule.
JBPCO CEO John B. Poindexter, Bill Hurst and Morgan Truck Body President and COO Dan DesRochers
Manager of R&D Bill Hurst (Morgan Truck Body) has developed the lab equipment/test/method capability over many years for Morgan Truck Body. He leverages his deep product knowledge for building truck bodies to define effective test and validation procedures. If there is no test method for a new condition, he will develop one. He is also an expert in structural adhesive bonding and the go-to resource for failure interventions. Bill has contributed to numerous product improvements implemented over recent years and is leading the start-up of the Morgan Innovation lab.
